Audio Wefts

The conceptual project was born after researching the everyday’s interaction with sounds and traces, and how these overlap with each other in the daily experience.

This series of woven pieces has been developed using a methodology inspired by the way both John Cage and Merce Cunningham respectively composed music and choreography, inspired by the everyday life and elements of chance.

The transparent cellophane warp the cloths were woven on allows to translate the overlapping of the recorded elements, by incorporating layers of silk tape, wool and linen.
